Midwest Independent Transmission System Operator Illinois Off-Peak Electricity Futures
Trading Unit
2.5 megawatt hours (Mwh) times the number of off-peak hours in the contract month. Contract size ranges from 880 to 1,060 Mwh.
Price Quotation
U.S. dollars and cents per Mwh.
Minimum Price Fluctuation
$0.05 per Mwh.
Maximum Price Fluctuation
No price limits.
Trading Hours (All times are New York time)
Off-Exchange transactions can be submitted solely for clearing to the NYMEX ClearPort® clearing website as an exchange of futures for swaps (EFS) or exchange of futures for physicals (EFP) transaction until 5:15 PM, Monday through Friday, and the day preceding a holiday.
Trading Months
The current year plus the next five calendar years. A new calendar year will be added following the termination of trading in the December contract of the current year.
Off-Peak Hours
Off-peak hours are from the hour ending (HE) 0100 to HE 0700 and 11:00 PM to midnight (HE 2400) Mondays through Fridays. Also, all day Saturdays and Sundays (HE 0100 to HE 2400) and North American Electric Reliability Council holidays. All times are prevailing local time.

MISO operates throughout the year on Eastern Standard Time, and does not make the transition into and out of Daylight Savings Time. Prevailing time, however, reflects the adjustment. See MISO Hours for a more detailed discussion of peak and off-peak hours.
Termination of Trading
Last business day of the contract month.
Settlement
Financial, based on the arithmetic average of the MISO Illinois Hub real-time locational marginal price (LMP) for all off-peak hours of the contract month.
