iShares� COMEX� Gold Trust

The iShares� COMEX� Gold Trust is an exchange traded fund that provides a means of obtaining a level of participation in the gold market through the securities market. The trust shares are intended to constitute a means of making an investment similar to an investment in gold. Each trust share represents a fractional undivided beneficial interest in the trust�s net assets which consist primarily of gold held by a custodian on behalf of the trust. The shares of the trust will reflect the price of gold less the trust�s expenses and liabilities.

The trust shares will be listed and traded on the American Stock Exchange, under the symbol �IAU�, and trading will occur from 9:30 AM to 4:15 PM. Barclays Global Investors, N.A., a subsidiary of Barclays Bank plc, is the trust sponsor. The Bank of New York is the trustee of the trust, and The Bank of Nova Scotia is the custodian of the trust.

The trust intends to issue and redeem shares on a continuous basis through certain broker dealers who contracted to act as authorized participants.

In return for compensation, which is tied to the level of assets in the trust, the Commodity Exchange, Inc. (�COMEX�), a wholly owned subsidiary of the New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc., has licensed certain of its market data and trademarks for certain uses by the sponsor and trustee.
